The CogAT Screening Form consists of the first section in each of the batteries of the original CogAT test. In addition to the CogAT, a new test has been released known as the CogAT Screening Form. This is to make the questions more intuitive and easier to solve for children that are still learning to read. The primary levels of the CogAT focus more on picture analogies and picture classification instead of their verbal equivalents. Each of these subtopics help develop a different skill and it is important to see all the different types of questions, their solutions, and the explanations to avoid having any surprises the day of the test. These batteries feature the following subtopics: Picture/Verbal analogies, Sentence Completion, Picture/Verbal Classification, Number Analogies, Number Series, Number Puzzles, Figure Matrices, Figure Classification, and Paper Folding. The CogAT test is divided into different sections known as batteries: Verbal battery, Nonverbal battery, and Quantitative battery.
This includes the structure of the test, the conditions (time constraint, difficulty, format), and more. The questions in our CogAT 8 preparation pack were written using the same format as in the CogAT and can help you understand the test, as well as practice and locate the areas that need strengthening and familiarize yourself with the contents of the test. Before taking a test, it is best to have as much information available about the test as possible.
